8 Fourth of July Pictures

Took my mom with us to shoot and caught this fantastic shot of her by the sign of the scenic overview area. It's not too often we can grab a shot of such a genuine smile!

The fourth of July, we got the families together for a BBQ. Everyone cooks out on the fourth right? Well, we usually don’t, but this year mom asked, last minute, if we’d like to grill out, and so we pulled everyone together and did so.

During the cookout, the subject of taking pictures of the ongoing construction of the Highway 36 bridge in Stillwater came up. My sister and I have been talking about going out together and playing with our cameras for quite some time. So after we were done eating, we put the fire out, cleaned up, and loaded up the van. The next few pages show some of the better captures.

When this bridge opens, this scenic overlook will not be nearly as quiet.

Just snapping some shots, and this one ended up looking fairly decent.

Our wrong turn lead to finding this shot. Stepped out of the vehicle, walked 10 feet and snap.

Special thanks to my sister for this shot. I'm so often behind the camera that I show up in photos relatively seldom. This shot is a treasure as I approach my second son talking about shot opportunities at the location we found by accident.
